Ask your 4th grader what they learned about fire safety today!

These kiddos deserve to be celebrated for their #goldenmoments! We're so proud of you👏👏👏

Friday we will have our classroom fall parties starting at 2:10 pm. This is a fall party not a Halloween party so costumes are not allowed!

Mrs. Kennedy & Mrs. Williams received this sweet sign for Kindness Day! 🥰

Did you know Lowell has a 21st Century Library?!! 📚
Lowell Elementary led by cybrarian Erin Radway and supported by administrator Diane Kennedy was awarded the state-level 21st Century School Library Award. Each year the SD State Library, a division of the SD Department of Education, recognizes school libraries as Effective, Enhanced, or Exemplary, based on performance in three areas: The Place (both physical and online learning environments), The Program, and The Professional.
Congratulations, Mrs. Radway! 👏❤️

JOIN US IN 15 MINUTES for our second Family Forum Series virtual webinar! Tonight's topic will focus on anxiety.

Important note: If you choose to join using a mobile device like a tablet or smartphone, you will be prompted to download the Microsoft Teams App. The app requires you to type a name. You can use a first name, nickname, or a made-up name. The anonymous platform does NOT allow us to see user names. It only allows us to see the number of viewers.

Fall is in the air! Look at this pure joy! 🍂😊

Thankful for our SIPPS Specialists to help our first and second graders grow as readers!! 📚❤️

Happy #DoSomethingNiceDay! What a perfect day to introduce our value of the month: Kindness! On Wednesday, October 19th let's celebrate kindness at Lowell by doing something kind for another person.

Picture Retakes on Tuesday, October 18th. Please return your child's unused package if you want to redo pictures or money if you are taking pictures for the first time and wish to purchase. Call the office if you need more details.

Remember to stop by the Book Fair in the library tonight at conferences! 📚

Congratulations to our newest Lowell leaders! 🎉

Bulldogs will learn anywhere... even in the hallway!!

Reminder: We have parent teacher conferences Tuesday, Oct. 11th from 12:00-7:00 pm and Thursday, Oct. 13th from 3:30-7:00 pm. If you can not make your assigned time, please call the office on Tuesday morning to reschedule. The book fair will be open in the library if you wish to purchase books. We also will have suckers (50 cents) and candy bars ($1) for sale in the office. Proceeds will go to the book vending machine and field trips.
Sometimes a student is the best teacher❤️ This first grader was teaching her classmates how to read the pictures in a book📚

Lowell recently got Viewboards and teachers are loving learning all the new features!

A little rain didn't stop these fifth graders from having fun at recess!

Thank you to Curt Aasheim for the donation of pumpkins for our K-3 kiddos!! What a perfect way to start October! 🎃

Excuse us while we brag for a minute… Our Superintendent is pretty talented! Dr. Jane Stavem is an accomplished pianist, vocalist, trumpet player, French horn player, percussionist, xylophone player… oh, and she also plays harmonica! 😉 These talents, along with her deep love for all things Fine Arts, earned her the honor of Parade Marshal for Festival of Bands 2022! We are proud to be lead by someone who values the role extracurriculars play in “preparing each student to succeed in a changing world!”

Our second graders are working hard to grow as mathematicians by playing Dreambox. Ask your child what math skill they are working on!
