Students achieved their goal of receiving 4,500 ROAR slips for the month of March! To celebrate, today at Cleveland, 5th grade students played basketball against the teachers.
Additionally, students that were at school 94% or more of the time in the 3rd quarter were recognized school wide. Two students from each classroom were also drawn to come down during "halftime" and try to make a basket. They were awarded a bottle of gatorade for their effort!
Celebrating students showing respect, taking ownership, achieving their goals and being role models is what being a ROARing cub is all about!!

Last evening, our Early Childhood program help a "Math Munchers" event. Students enjoyed making snack mix, playing a math game and enjoying the weather by playing outside.
Parents learned more about the impact of screen time, bedtime routines and were also given ideas for how to introduce new foods to their children.
Thank you to our families that were able to attend!
If you were not able to attend but would like more information about any of the above topics, please reach out to the school and we would be happy to provide you with the resources that were shared.

Happy Social Worker Week!
In the Sioux Falls School District, every student's journey is unique. For many of the kids we serve, our school social workers are there every step of the way! Whether offering a listening ear, connecting families to resources, or advocating for students' well-being, their dedication ignites hope and creates lasting impact in our schools.
This year's theme, Unite to Ignite: Celebrating Our Impact, is a perfect reflection of how our social workers bring people together to create brighter futures for students.
THANK YOU to our incredible school social workers for your compassion and care!

Today was the last Director Called Meeting for this school year. Teachers spent time backward planning strong Tier 1 instruction for the 4th quarter of school in the area of Mathematics.
Before the hard work starts, we always begin with a team builder. Today's team builder was similar to the game Master Mind. One person created a pattern that was hidden, while other members of the team made one move to try and match the pattern.
